Arm Lift

Arm lift or “braquioplasty” is a surgical procedure aimed at improving the shape and smoothness of the arms, eliminating excess skin and fat. This procedure improves the brachial shape of someone with sagging skin and repairs excess skin after a reduction in arm circumference. As a result, allow the use of certain garments that expose the arms in all their extensions in women whose skin and tissues are very damaged.

Benefits and Risks

The main benefit of an arm lift is the improvement in the appearance of the arms. This procedure can create a more toned and contoured appearance, resulting in increased confidence and self-esteem. In addition to the aesthetic benefits, an arm lift can also improve functionality by reducing the amount of excess skin that may cause discomfort or irritation.

As with any surgical procedure, there are risks associated with an arm lift. These risks include bleeding, infection, scarring, anesthesia complications, and nerve damage. It is important to discuss these risks with a qualified surgeon and follow all pre and post-operative instructions to minimize the risks.

Safety and Recovery

When performed by a qualified and experienced surgeon, an arm lift is generally safe. However, it is important to choose a board-certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience in performing this procedure.

Recovery from an arm lift typically takes several weeks. During this time, patients will need to avoid strenuous activities and follow all post-operative instructions provided by the surgeon. Pain and swelling are common during the first few days after the procedure, but these symptoms can be managed with pain medication and rest.

Cost and Price Differences

The cost of an arm lift can vary depending on several factors, including the surgeon’s fees, facility fees, anesthesia fees, and the extent of the procedure. On average, the cost of an arm lift in the United States ranges from $13,000 to $18,000.

The cost of an arm lift in Mexico is generally lower than in the United States. On average, the cost of an arm lift in Mexico ranges from 40% to 60% less than USA prices.

The Best Candidates

Since weight loss surgery becoming more common, arm lift surgery has become a popular procedure nowadays. However, rapid weight loss can often leave skin sagging. Braquioplasty is a simple surgical procedure that can solve this problem in women with drooping arms. An incision is made on the upper arm on the inner side to remove loose skin, then liposuction is performed through this incision to facilitate skin traction, and then excess skin and fat are removed.

Arm Lift

An arm lift is often compared to liposuction, which is a non-surgical procedure that removes excess fat from the arms. While liposuction can improve the appearance of the arms, it does not address excess skin. For patients who have significant amounts of excess skin, an arm lift may be a more appropriate option.

During an arm lift, the surgeon will make incisions on the underside of the arm, typically from the armpit to the elbow. Excess skin and fat will be removed, and the remaining skin will be tightened and smoothed. The incisions will then be closed with sutures or surgical tape. The procedure typically takes 2-3 hours and is performed under local anesthesia.
